ABOUT US
Propaholics was founded by three twenty-something year olds working in Bristol's film and TV industry. We hated seeing so many props getting skipped at the end of each job and became frustrated wasting time, money, and fuel, travelling to London to hire props which weren't available locally.
We began making it our mission to save what we could from the skip, and reusing it where we could. As our stock grew we decided to collate our props online and make them available to hire from us. Becoming a small business with values centred around the environment, and making the lives of those on Bristol based productions so much easier.
We are working on having the majority of our stock online, meaning that you won't even need to leave the office to find out if we have the thing you're looking for. We'd love you to have a browse of our ever-growing props page, and if there's anything you can't find please drop us a message as we may not have gotten to uploading it yet.

We will not be able to release orders which have not been paid in full before collection.

All props must be confirmed by 12.00 on the day before collection to ensure that they are packed in time.

Once you have selected your props and confirmed your order, you will be sent a document stating the hire cost for each item, the production details, the hire length, and the collection date.

Each prop has a risk value. This is the cost to you should the item not be returned. Hire costs are usually 10% of the risk value for the first week of hire, 5% for the second week, and 2.5% for each week thereafter.

If you plan to ship any props abroad we must be notified beforehand.
TRANSPORT
We will expect transport to be arranged by the customer. Please make sure that your vehicle will fit the items, and that there are blankets and ties if needed. We reserve the right to refuse collection if we believe that there is any risk of damage to our props.
wHICH DETAILS WILL WE NEED FOR AN ORDER?
To place an order with us we require the following:

Company details including billing address

Buyer's details including phone number and email address

Confirmed hire date and hire period

In some cases we may ask for ID, proof of address, and insurance details
How to place an order
You can use our website to request a quote. We will let you know whether the items are available on your requested dates and what your total will be. If this works for you then we will send you an invoice which must be paid before collection.
You can also come and take a look at out stock in person and speak to someone on site to get a quote.
CAN I CANCEL AN ORDER?
Once confirmed with a payment, cancellations will still be possible. We understand that a lot of last-minute changes can happen in our industry and try our best to work with you around them. Cancellations with more than a weeks' notice are free of charge, cancellations made within a week of the collection will be charged at 10% of the hire cost, and cancellations within 24 hours will be charged at 50%.
It will be possible to change your order dates at no additional charge at any time leading up to collection.
How long is a hire week?
We allow 8 days for the hire week. So, you can hire a prop at 8am on a Monday, and return it at 5pm the following Monday.
what if I return my props late?
We will charge an extra week hire for each week you fail to return the props. Hire costs are usually 20% of the risk value for the first week of hire, 10% for the second week, and 5% for each week thereafter.
is there a minimum hire charge?
Our minimum hire charge is £30 + vat per contract.
